| At this home visit, we had a tortilla making demonstration. Then we were invited to try our hand at it. The kitchen is in a separate building from the living quarters, which is one large room. They had a small TV and a sewing machine and sleep in hammocks. The running water for washing hands was outside the buildings. After lunch we saw a short dance of a woman with a bottle on her head. This dance is typically done by an unmarried woman as a dare by the guy she is interested in impressing. |
