Amman is an ancient, yet contemporary city. It was captured by King David and once occupied by the Byzantine Empire and Christian Crusaders. We drive up Citadel Hill for views across the Old City, with its Roman amphitheater and lovely Abu Darwish Mosque. We visit a resort on the Dead Sea where many people could float in the water. At 1360 ft. below sea level, this is the lowest point on earth. There is no life in the Dead Sea because of the high amount of salt and minerals. Click on first photo for slide show.
