Vatican

As you may know, the Vatican is probably the most elaborate place on earth. Personally I think it is ridiculously so, but that's another story.  The crowds are almost as unbelievable as the artwork. The Sistine Chapel did not allow photos at all, but it is beautiful. Sorry some of these inside are dark. No flash bulbs were allowed, and I have a point and shoot type of camera.
 

This is a map of Vatican City. Enlarge it so that you can get an idea of just how large it really is. The circle looking area in the lower left is St. Peters Square.
