Budapest is a large and diverse city... Actually it's 2 cities across the Danube River from one another -old town Buda and modern Pest. It is the capital of Hungary. Here we see the National Opera House, Heroes Square, and the Royal Palace of Godollo. There is also a massive hilltop castle complex with its turreted Fishermen's Bastion and the Matthias Church. We stayed a couple of extra days here as there is much to see. Our last day on our ship we have a Hungarian dinner with music by a Gipsy Bank. We felt right at home when we saw the 'Casino Las Vegas'.
