Nuremburg

We cruise the Main-Danube Canal which links the two rivers. There is 16 locks on this 106 mile stretch of water. We reach Nuremberg which was founded in the 11th Century and today is the second-largest city in Bavaria. During the 20th Century, is gained notoriety, first as the site of the Nazi party rallies, later as the location of the famous Nuremberg trial. This area is also know for it's handicrafts, Imperial Castle and the Market Square.
